Why isn't Scout completely free?
Large language models cost quite a bit of money to run. To grow Scout sustainably without compromising our service quality, we need to cover our costs.
What models do you use?
We use all frontier coding models, including Claude Sonnet 4, OpenAI o3-pro, OpenAI GPT-4.1, Gemini 2.5 Pro, Claude Opus 4, and more.
Who owns the code and outputs generated in Scout?
You! Regardless of whether you use the free or paid version of Scout, all generated code and outputs are yours and free to be used however you like, including commercially.
How do credits work?
One generated output costs one credit. Free credits do not roll over, but paid credits do.
